How we source GLS parts

Stripped from accident-damaged Mercedes-Benz cars, then tested

  • Over 15 years stripping accident-damaged vehicles for used parts.
  • Removed carefully and tested before a part is sold, so you're not paying for something that doesn't work.
  • Matched to your car — send the year, engine and VIN if you have it, and we'll check it's the right part.

The GL renamed

The GLS is the GL-Class under Mercedes' newer naming scheme. When the second-generation X166 GL was facelifted in 2016, it became the GLS. The third generation, the X167, followed in 2019. The GLS shares its unibody architecture with the GLE, and most are assembled at the Mercedes plant in Alabama.

Which GLS do you have?

  • X166 GLS (from 2016): the facelifted GL, so give us the year.
  • X167 GLS (from 2019): the current generation.

A pre-2016 car badged GL is covered on our GL-Class parts page.

Getting the right part

A GLS has a long specification list, so the VIN is the only reliable way to match lights, suspension and electronic parts. Send us the year, the badge on the tailgate, the colour and the VIN. For seats and interior trim, mention the seat layout and upholstery. For engine or gearbox parts, add the engine number.

The year is a useful guide: a GLS built from 2016 to 2019 is the facelifted X166, and from 2019 on it is the X167. Tell us the year and the badge and we will take it from there.

Our parts are stripped from accident-damaged vehicles and tested before they go out, and we have been stripping and selling used parts for over 15 years. We confirm part numbers before quoting, rather than guess on a car this complex. For the five-seat model on the same architecture, see GLE parts. If your GLS has been written off, we can make you an offer.
