How we source G-Class parts
Stripped from accident-damaged Mercedes-Benz cars, then tested
- Over 15 years stripping accident-damaged vehicles for used parts.
- Removed carefully and tested before a part is sold, so you're not paying for something that doesn't work.
- Matched to your car — send the year, engine and VIN if you have it, and we'll check it's the right part.
The G-Wagen's family tree
The G-Class has been built in Graz, Austria, since 1979, and there are several distinct models:
- W460 (1979–1991): the original.
- W461 (1985–2022): the utility and military version.
- W463 (1990–2018): the more luxurious G that most people picture.
- Second-generation W463 (from 2018): facelifted again in 2024.
Old shape, new parts
Because the shape barely changed, it is easy to assume a G-Class part fits any G-Class. That assumption is risky: the 2018 car is a new generation, and specifications changed over the life of the earlier W463 too. We match every part by part number against your VIN before quoting.
What to send
The year, the badge, short or long wheelbase, the colour and the VIN. For engine or gearbox parts, add the engine number. Photos of the old part with its labels help, especially on older W460 and W461 vehicles.
For a W463, the year is the first thing we need: up to 2018 it is the first-generation W463, and from May 2018 it is the second. A 2024-on car is the facelifted version of the second. A photo of the old part and its label is the surest way to match it.
All our parts are stripped from accident-damaged vehicles and checked before they leave, and we have been stripping and selling used parts for over 15 years. For a more road-going Mercedes SUV, see GLE parts, or the full Mercedes-Benz range. If your G has reached the end of its road, ask us for an offer.
