How we source Sprinter parts

Stripped from accident-damaged Mercedes-Benz cars, then tested

  • Over 15 years stripping accident-damaged vehicles for used parts.
  • Removed carefully and tested before a part is sold, so you're not paying for something that doesn't work.
  • Matched to your car — send the year, engine and VIN if you have it, and we'll check it's the right part.

Vans that work for a living

A Sprinter earns money every day it runs, as a panel van, a delivery truck or one of the Sprinter Inkanyezi minibus taxis. Mercedes-Benz Vans SA updated the Inkanyezi for the end of April 2023, seating up to 22 passengers plus the driver on a 2.2 turbodiesel and a 6-speed manual. When one is off the road after a crash or a breakdown, a tested used part is one way to get it working again.

Three generations, very different parts

  • W903 (1995–2006): the original Sprinter, built on the T1N platform.
  • W906 (2006–2018): the second generation. Volkswagen sold a re-badged, re-engined version as the Crafter from 2006 to 2017, so check with us before assuming a Crafter part fits.
  • W907/W910 (from 2018): the current van, on sale in South Africa from 2019 with a 2.2-litre turbodiesel (84 kW or 120 kW) or a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbodiesel (140 kW), and manual or automatic gearboxes.

Parts we can quote on

After a front-end knock you may need a bumper, grille, headlight, bonnet, mirror or radiator. A side impact can mean a sliding door and its runner. A worn-out engine or gearbox can be swapped for a tested used unit. Sprinters were built in several body lengths, with high-roof options and as vans, buses and cab-chassis trucks, so the details you send matter.

What to send us

Send the year, the model designation from the registration papers, the engine, the wheelbase, panel van or bus, and the VIN. For doors and glass, tell us the roof height. Parts are stripped from accident-damaged vans and tested before they go out, and we have been stripping and selling used parts for over 15 years. For the smaller Mercedes van see our Vito parts page, or browse Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle parts. Retiring a tired van? Get an offer for it.
