How we source CLK parts
Stripped from accident-damaged Mercedes-Benz cars, then tested
- Over 15 years stripping accident-damaged vehicles for used parts.
- Removed carefully and tested before a part is sold, so you're not paying for something that doesn't work.
- Matched to your car — send the year, engine and VIN if you have it, and we'll check it's the right part.
E-Class looks, C-Class underneath
The CLK was built from 1996 to 2010 as a coupé (C) and cabriolet (A). Its styling came from the E-Class, but its mechanical underpinnings came from the smaller C-Class. There were two generations:
- C208 coupé and A208 cabriolet (1996–2003).
- C209 coupé and A209 cabriolet (2001–2009), related to the W203 C-Class.
After that, Mercedes renamed the car the E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet (C207/A207), which still used C-Class underpinnings.
What this means when you need a part
Mechanical parts on a CLK are often shared with the C-Class of the same era and engine, while panels, glass and lights are CLK-specific. The coupé and the cabriolet are also different bodies, so the body style matters as much as the year. Give us the body style and the VIN and we will confirm fitment by part number.
Sending a request
Tell us the year, coupé or cabriolet, the derivative badge, the colour and the VIN. For a cabriolet roof part, mention whether the roof is working and what has failed. For engine or gearbox parts, send the engine number.
The first and second generations overlapped between 2001 and 2003, so for a car built in those years the VIN tells us whether it is a C208 or a C209. If you have the old part, a photo of its label helps too.
Our parts are stripped from accident-damaged cars and checked before they go out, and we have been stripping and selling used parts for over 15 years. For the mechanical side, our C-Class page may also help. For the roadster cousin, see the SLK. Or if your CLK is beyond saving, sell it to us.
