The SLK under a new name
The SLC is not a new car. When the third-generation R172 SLK was facelifted for cars built from March 2016, Mercedes renamed it the SLC to fit its new naming scheme, in which roadsters use the base name SL followed by a letter showing their size. The facelift brought new engines and a revised design, and the R172 stayed in production until 2020.
What that means for parts
Underneath, an SLC is an R172, so many mechanical and structural parts are shared with the 2011–2016 SLK. The parts that changed with the facelift, such as the revised styling and the new engines, are SLC-specific. We will not guess on those. Send us the VIN and we will confirm fitment by part number before we quote.
