How we source A-Class parts

Stripped from accident-damaged Mercedes-Benz cars, then tested

  • Over 15 years stripping accident-damaged vehicles for used parts.
  • Removed carefully and tested before a part is sold, so you're not paying for something that doesn't work.
  • Matched to your car — send the year, engine and VIN if you have it, and we'll check it's the right part.

Two very different A-Classes

The A-Class has been two cars. The first two generations, the W168 (1996–2004) and the W169 (2004–2012), were short, tall hatchbacks built around a raised "sandwich" floor. In 2012 the W176 turned the A-Class into a conventional low hatchback, and the W177 that followed in 2018 kept that shape and added a sedan. Parts do not cross that line, so the generation code is the first thing we check.

Why the generation matters

  • W168 and W169: the older, taller cars. If you are still running one, body panels, lights and mechanical parts all come from cars of the same generation.
  • W176: the first of the modern A-Classes, built in Rastatt, Germany. It shares its front-wheel-drive platform with the B-Class W246, CLA C117 and GLA X156, but shared underpinnings do not mean shared panels, so we confirm fitment by part number.
  • W177: the current car, as a hatch and a sedan.

What to send us

The VIN is the quickest way to the right part, because it tells us the exact model and year. Add the derivative (A 180, A 200, A 250 and so on), manual or auto, and the colour if you need a painted panel or a mirror cap. If the part has a sensor or a camera in it, mention that too.

We have been stripping and selling used parts for over 15 years. Everything we sell comes off accident-damaged cars and is checked before it goes out. If you also need parts for the larger family car on the same platform, see our B-Class page, or go back to every Mercedes-Benz model. Selling a damaged A-Class instead? Ask us for an offer.
