How we source CMC parts

Stripped from accident-damaged CMC cars, then tested

  • Over 15 years stripping accident-damaged vehicles for used parts.
  • Removed carefully and tested before a part is sold, so you're not paying for something that doesn't work.
  • Matched to your car — send the year, engine and VIN if you have it, and we'll check it's the right part.

CMC parts

CMC is a less common make here, so the details you send matter: they let us check for the right part first time.

CMC in South Africa

CMC built its name in South Africa with minibus taxis — the Amandla 14-seater and Ses'buyile 16-seater — and in 2011 added the Plutus bakkie in single and double cab. Those bakkies used 2.2 and 2.4 petrol engines based on Toyota or Isuzu designs, with a five-speed manual gearbox.

Why the engine matters

Because CMC engines were based on other makers' designs, some engine parts may be easier to find than the badge suggests. Tell us the model, year and engine size, and send a photo of the engine plate if you can.

Asking us for a CMC part

The quickest requests give us four things: model, year, engine size and the part. Add a photo or your VIN if you have one. If the part is a panel or a light, tell us the side and the colour, and if it is mechanical, the engine size. We've spent over 15 years stripping accident-damaged cars for used parts, and we test parts before selling them. Send the details and we'll come back with a price.

Other Chinese commercial makes we cover include JMC and GWM. If your CMC is at the end of its life, see our guide to scrapping a vehicle.
