About the E36 BMW Model
The third generation 3 series of BMW was introduced in 1991. This model was part of the BMW’s compact car luxury sector. The new 3 series was based on the E36 automobile platform and initially designed with 4-door sedan body type. However, the model was later redesigned to feature revised suspension, restyled headlamps, and more roundish exterior design. When compared to predecessors, the new 3 Series Sedan was bigger and heavier as it was fitted with more safety features. Also, the model had the best weight distribution since the engine was located further in the back. The advanced 325i version had a maximum speed of 140mph and acceleration of 0-60mph is just 7.3 seconds. The model has a minor redesign in 1997. This was one year before the introduction of fourth generation 3 series.
